Nissan Altima 2010 Accessories. (Please answer, especially if you are a car expert)?

I have a black 2010 nissan altima 2.5S

I was thinking of adding some stuff, but I don't know where how how I would do this. Please help by telling me where and how I can buy these accessories.

1) Spoiler - I want a spoiler but I don't like the Nissan factory spoilers.

2) Black Rims - I don't want to spend a lot of money, and my friend told me that he changed his regular rims to black. He said the people magnetized his rims, and then magnetized the paint, and it stook together.

3) short ram intake - Where can I find one that I know will work for my model.

4) Black tail lights - This is what I would want the most. I don't know how I could do this. I've heard people actually spray painting their lights, while others have bought a tail light cover to make it black.

Thanks for the help.

Please say if you have any other ideas that might go good with my carNissan Altima 2010 Accessories. (Please answer, especially if you are a car expert)?
Powder coating is a electrically charged (static electricity) not magnetism and baked paint process on the rims. (that is ok) Changing the rim size and re engineering the suspension system to function properly (difficult) Hot air under the hood short ram sucks in will not make more power just more noise. So a long air intake that takes cold air will be better. Covering the lights on your car with paint or tint is illegal in almost all states. Spoiler might make more wind turbulence and drag. Less gas mileage? People spend lot's of money on base S model Altima's when they should have just spend a hundred more a month for a more optioned car in the first place. Altima is a 4 door family car that gets 600 miles or more per tankfull. Keep it completely stock save money buy your sports car with the savings by keeping this car stock.Nissan Altima 2010 Accessories. (Please answer, especially if you are a car expert)?
Black rims- usually run 300-500 for a decent set.. and thats on the lower end of the spectrum.

short ram intake- probably go for a cold air intake, its a little bit more expensive but it adds more power and gives better gas mileage.

black tail lights- pay a local guy to do it for around 50$ and know its a good job.

spoiler- dont be a mexican.

What are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?

My hubby and I were turning left into an aprtmnt complex and he was sure all lanes were clear b4 turning and there was an SUV that decided not to stay in his lane and changed lanes at the last moment and we were there, all except the very tail end of our car. He hit us in our tail light and knocked us into another car. We were upset because we were ticketed, but the person we hit told the officer that we did everything correctly, but this person who hit us decided at the last minute to get into our lane and we were there already and he hit us. Any advice on how to fight this? We've called lawyers and because there's no financial gain, they won't take the case. Pls help. Serious answers only. Thanks. What are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?
This will answer your question on left had turns in Georgia.

http://www.lexis-nexis.com/hottopics/gacWhat are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?
You were ticketed for failure to yeild the right-of-way. It has nothing to do with being in Georgia. The lane should have been completely clear before you turned. Sorry, but it's your fault and you can't win. Own up to it!What are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?
Was he traveling in the opposite direction from you? If so, you are technically at fault. When making a left hand turn in front of oncoming traffic, you must be able to clear all the lanes, and the oncoming traffic has the right to all the lanes in the opposing direction. What are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?
If a lawyer will not take your case, you don't have a case. They get paid regardless if they win or lose, you pay them. As such, there is financial gain for them.

When making a turn the driver is responsible for making the turn safely. While the other driver may have contributed to the accident, it sounds like it was caused by the driver of your car as the turn did not allow for normal changes in traffic; you cut it too close. What are the Ga state laws regarding left hand turns?

Toyota Camry 2005 XLE?

So my dad is giving me his 2005 Toyota XLE and I want to just change a few things. I want to put these tailights on

and put in an MP3 AUX jack for my iPod. does anyone know about how much this would all cost, installation included??Toyota Camry 2005 XLE?
Tail lights are an easy do it your self job. MP3 aux jack depends on if its a factory or aftermarket stereo head unit. My advice, get a external radio freq tuner. I have one in each of my cars for my mine.

How much would it cost to customize my Acura Integra?

I have recently bought a 1991 acura integra. it has a lot of things on it already, it has a body kit, costume paint, suicide doors, costume headlight and tail lights, racing seats, etc. there are a few things i want to change, the interior and the engine. I was told that the engine was rebuilt but it was done horribly so i want to get a 1st gen vtec B16A motor in it, and i want to give it a paint job and i want to put 17%26quot; rims, and change the interior. what i really want is a nice clean cut yet dependable car. is it a good idea or should i try to fix the rebuilt engine? and around how much would it cost. How much would it cost to customize my Acura Integra?
To be honest the amount of money you're putting into a car that attracts car thiefs, does not boast performance, and should've just been left as a commuter car, you could have put that money for another car and of course better performance and practicality. 1.6 liters are nothing during these times and you won't see anything pass 500whp on these things. Front wheel integras suffer from torque steer once they start to hit 280whp and up, so why don't you think twice before you start to invest. If it's looks you're going well I'd say that's fine with me but just look out for others out there and haters who will think your car's just another riced up teg.How much would it cost to customize my Acura Integra?
take all that body kit stuff off and just jdm the hell out of it and you'll spend less than 1000How much would it cost to customize my Acura Integra?
under 10 k out the door..i would say around 7300 for rims engine and paint

How much is my car worth?

Hello. I want to know how much my car is worth. I am planning to sell it. I reside in brooklyn, New York. I have a 1999 lexus es300 black on black with 83000miles. It has HID headlights and fog lights, brand new tires, chrome door handles, chrome pillars, updated 2001 original lexus es tail lights (I also have the 1999 lights), tint, sunroof, and black leather. I have always got oil change from dealers, and any work I got done was from certified mechanics like Aamco. Please let me know what you think car is worth and how much I can get for the car.How much is my car worth?
I would say this car should be valued at $14,000How much is my car worth?
Go to http://www.kbb.com/ and click on used cars, answer a few questions and it will give you an idea as to how much your car is worth. How much is my car worth?
Best thing to do is check Kelly blue book and Edmunds. They both have websites that will give you the value of your car, retail, trade in, or private party. How much is my car worth?
KBB for sure......edmunds is kind of unrealistic on trade values....but not car prices.

Also, NADA and Cars.com might help as well.

Chris

* No way I for one can truthfully answer that.....havent seen it, dont know the condition, wouldnt buy a Lexus to begin with(Not trying to be funny here...just honest) so that is something you need to decide on your own.

Look at what dealerships are selling them for, and hit it somewhere around that number.

you could get 7,000 to 15,000How much is my car worth?
try looking on ebay that may giv u an idea seeming that people bid or av a look in the auto trader an compear. sounds nice though and u should get a good price for it. good luck! How much is my car worth?
The Kelley Blue book is the price that a dealer will sell you a car for generally. If you are looking to sell to a dealer (as in the price they will pay) you need to research BLACK book values. Of course the value of anything is determined by the price anyone is willing to pay for it - so if you can find someone to pay more - well than thats the value. How much is my car worth?
i'll give you $1000 cash right now i won't even look at it or take it for a test drive i will buy it not joking

How long does it take for the head of a baby cockatiel to change its colour?

I have a baby cockatiel and I was wondering how long it takes for it to change its head colour.....and how can you tell if its a male or a female, my birds is fully grey with light orange spots on his/her cheeks and a little yellow on its crest, beak and forehead and it has like 2 yellow feathers under its tails and the rest are white anfd grey with horizontal spots. The breeder I bought it from said that if the bird changes its head colour to yellow, it will be a male..and if it doesnt its a female....how can you tell if its gonna change its head colour or not?? Thanks :)How long does it take for the head of a baby cockatiel to change its colour?
Your bird's head will only change color if it's a male.

You will not be able to identify the sex of your bird visually until about 9-12 months of age, when your bird will molt (shed) juvenile feathers and grow adult plumage.

First, you will notice feathers dropping.

If your bird is a male, you will start to see yellow patches appear on his cheeks, as the grey feathers are replaced by yellow ones. His crest will become mostly yellow. He will lose the horizontal stripes (barring) on the underside of the tailfeathers. And, if your bird is a pearl mutation (fish-scale pattern), and a male - he will also lose most, if not all of his pearls. This genetic mutation is only visual in females.

DNA testing is the only way to determine the sex of juvenile cockatiels (under 9 months), who all look like hens (females).

However, once cockatiels have their adult plumage, visually sexing is easy.

All adult females have horizontal barring (stripes) on the underside of their tail feathers, including whiteface-lutinos (white/albino). These can be seen by facing your bird, with bright sunlight/light behind it.

The barring is not color, but the structure of the feather itself. Each stripe is actually a transluscent (see-through) gap, without the little feather %26quot;hairs%26quot;. For example: a lutino (yellow), or whiteface-lutino (white) hen against a blue background, will appear to have thin blue stripes on the tail feathers. Banding on dark hens is more obvious against a white or light colored background.

Males have a solid structure along both sides of the quill.

In all mutations, except whiteface-lutino, females have a single pea-sized dot on their primary wing feathers. Males do not.

On standard greys, the males have a mostly yellow crest. Females have yellow at the tip. Females have grey mixed in with the color on cheek patches, creating a muted or gray appearance, while males are bright. On whiteface grey birds, females will have little, if any, white on the cheeks.

Male and female pieds, and lutino's (yellow), have the same basic colorations, but females still have tail barring, and the dot on the primary feathers.

Pearl (fish scale pattern) males will lose most, if not all of their pearling as they age.

Here's a great link for visually sexing cockatiels:

    http://www.cockatiels.org/articles/genet

The only 100% accurate method of sexing a young bird (before the first molt), is by DNA testing. If you really need to know, you can have your bird tested yourself with a tiny sample of blood (toenail), a few feathers pulled from the chest area, or it's egg shell.

DNA sexing alone costs less than $25. Samples can also be tested for disease and parasites.

    http://www.avianbiotech.com/

Never use pelvic sexing. It is not only inaccurate and outdated - it's also potentially dangerous. And it doesn't mean anything on young birds. The recognizable gap in the bone doesn't occur until females have begun laying eggs.

As for behavior, males tend to be vocal, affectionate and bold. Females tend to be rather quiet and shy. However, there are always exceptions.

Here are some of my favorite websites for cockatiels, and other parrots:

just a month.. i got mine at a few weeks.. and by about him being a month old. hes a very beautiful color nowHow long does it take for the head of a baby cockatiel to change its colour?
All grey cockatiels have spots under their wings and tail barring, and they all look like females until their first molt at around 6 months or second molt at around 12 months, when their adult feathers grow in. Females are much quieter, only making a few chirping sounds or short whistling sounds, while males are usually quite vocal. You will just have to wait and see.

    Electrical short?

I noticed today that my dashboard lights were dead - along with tail lights, since they're on the same fuse. But when I went to replace it to drive home this evening, both my replacement fuses shorted out when I stuck them in. So I just drove 20 miles home riding the brakes. All my dashboard lights are dead - even the ones for changing gears, and those aren't connected to that fuse.

I had a friend replace my stereo yesterday - they might have shorted out then, I'm not sure - I know the gear lights at least were on this morning. But now I have no dashboard lights.

Any clue as to what's wrong, and how much it might cost to fix? Thanks.Electrical short?
Try taking out the stereo your friend put it. Look for any bare or exposed wires. If those wire touch other exposed wires or touch the bare metal of the car, it could cause all sorts of problems. This should fix it. Next time... don't let your friend work on a car. Bestbuy only charges like $100 for install. A lot cheaper than replacing a blown computerElectrical short?

Is payback sweet or just wrong?

I have been blessed with one asset that no amount of money can buy. I have a lot of friends. My friends have referred me to great schools, terrific jobs, advancement opportunities, apartment and condo deals that nobody off the street would ever hear about, and invaluable advice and help on matters of the heart.

About six months ago, I started a very painful process of separating from my wife of six years. After six years of being a working househusband and no sex, I had enough and she fought the divorce tooth and nail with her lawyer. There were not real assets to fight over, no children thanks to her refusal to allow me any, but just to win an argument that left us both losers. She has gone back to live with her parents and continues to make my life miserable and I see more of her now than when I was married to her.

Anyway, I digress. I got some tips from some of my friends to check out a couple of on line dating services.

I met Jackie there. Jackie is a very attractive woman who also has a list of problems that if you measure each by a value of one dollar could equal or surpass the size of the National Debt. I was lured in by her blond hair, her light, bright eyes that change color like a German wolf (a warning sign I completely ignored), and a curvy body that seemed to send smoke signals to every straight guy to drop every thing they happened to be doing and save her.

My blond flower and damsel in distress started to wilt by the second week but we remained friends for two months. After having too much to drink on the second date, and when sober Jackie said she would not even kiss a guy on the second date, there we were changed out of our street clothes into sweats sitting on her couch in her living room after dinner. I leaned over to kiss her on the lips, and then Jackie whipped out a list of demands, a honey do list, of things she wanted taken care of before I went any further. How a woman can down four triple shot cocktails, and three glasses of port wine, and hold her liquor enough to hit a guy with a verbal assault like that has remained a mystery to men going back to the days of Salome.

Like Salome with Herod, giving Jackie half of what I had was simply not enough for Jackie. She wanted heads on plates as tokens of my love for her.

She had a list. Her ex boyfriend, who had become a raging alcoholic under her spell, had given her mink coats (as in more than one), diamonds, white gold (not just that cheap yellow 24 karat stuff), a Mercedes that was in need of repair due to female abuse and neglect, his job (which she was fired from due to poor performance but somehow managed to collect unemployment from. Thank you, Massachusetts), and on and on ad nauseum. Jackie's ex boyfriend sued her for $15,000 and she managed to cross her legs at the male judge like Sharon Stone and the case was dismissed. Men. Idiots who lose their heads over pieces of tail like Jackie. She no doubt returned the favor on the old judge for his judicial act of kindness and all the more reason judges need more accountability and term limits.

    After two months of Jackie's head games, I had enough. It was time to bring in the troops in to rid me of this Nazi in a skirt. As Edgar Allen Poe said in the %26quot;Cask of Amontillado,%26quot; when (she) ventured upon insult, I vowed revenge...and there must be punishment with impunity.%26quot;

It was time to give Jackie a taste of her own medicine for all the dates she called at last minute to cancel or just never showed up. It was payback time. This time I intended to screw Jackie in a much different fashion and I succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

I have a black friend of mine who looks like a professional football and basketball player. This guy is a 6 foot ten inch tower of power that is many a white girl's sexual fantasy. He has no interest in white women but is curious from a racial stereotype point of view as to why white women find black men so fascinating. So I siced him on Jackie.

He created a profile on this on line service and the simple act of him visiting her profile page sent Jackie chasing after him like a love sick teenager. She was emailing my black friend five to ten times a day and making a complete slut of herself over this guy whose only interest in her was a curiosity about sexual racism and to help out his long time friend. I helped my buddy create a profile page that looked so much like Jackie's own page he could have passed for her black male alter ego. Same career, same car, same love of sports, photography hobby, lived and worked in the same cities, and so forth. It is simply amazing just how dumb and gullible a woman can get when she is lead by her tail by some stud she has the hots for.

In this case, Jackie was lead to her favorite Italian restaurant for a blind date with my friend. She gave him her number but she didn't question when she asked for his number he did not give it out. She went on the date anyway. We waited at the restaurant for Jackie to show. It was liIs payback sweet or just wrong?
I loved reading your story...and really want to know the end...but I have to say that the whole time I read it, I kept thinking, %26quot;Vengeance is Mine, sayeth the Lord.%26quot; There have been several times in my life when I really wanted vengeance, but I never ever allow myself to go there and do that...and I have to say, I have never once seen it happen that God didn't take care of the situation, and the people in it, way better than I could ever have imagined or thought up...and I don't have to pay the spiritual price for vengeance. I just sit back and watch...and it is so sweet to see that even God will work it out for you....I mean, then it isn't wrong. It's just pure sweetness... My theory is that God knows what people need to come to their senses better than I do...let Him work His stuff.... Still, really good story, and I don't think you'll have significant spiritual karma to work out for just letting her be lead on and stood up.... In my book, good going!

I guess the question for me becomes, are you looking at why you are attracted to girls like that...demanding, ungiving? Your wife, and Jackie....I see a pattern. Have you looked at what it is that makes you go there...? Just wondering. And don't misunderstand me...please. I'm not blaming you. I'm just saying what is it about you that attracts the type? I've had to assess what it is about me that attracts certain types of losers at times....we all have to when it's happening. Good luck to you Super J.Is payback sweet or just wrong?

What all do i need for a Red Tail Shark?

Hi, i am planning on getting a Red Tail Shark tomorrow. I plan to put it into a 20 gallon long tank. What im wondering is what the setup should be, spending the least money possible.

    I know i need:

    20 gallon long tank

    Hood/light to fit

    Filter

    Heater

    Rocks and things

Why dont they sell 20 long tanks and a hood as a set? I cant find anything like that anywhere!

Any info on how it should be setup or changes to what im getting will help! thanksWhat all do i need for a Red Tail Shark?
To be honest more like 30-35 gallons would be better for this fish. And if you hunt around you should be able to find tanks that are all in one, some including filters and even heaters. Snoop around aquatic stores and check out brands, google for better prices!

Don't forget to put it through the nitrogen cycle first! What all do i need for a Red Tail Shark?
Have you cycle you tank? If not he will more then likely die.

    http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.ht

Red tails need lots of hiding places! To make them feel safe and secure.

So a few plants and good size rocks with a nice size hole should do the trick. Whatever you think will look nice.

And be prepared they can live up to ten years. A friend of mines parents have had the same red tail for 13 years!

You need to get an air pump and place in an air stone. Thermometer to check the temp.

Also food would be nice. They will eat just about anything...well not anything but i mean any type of fish food.

Oh and if you going for cheap you came into the wrong hobby.

And about 20 long tank thing i know what you are taking about...when i fist started i was like wtf! It's like the perfect size for beginners! Not big but not two small and its not tall! don't get me started on tall tanks!

Any ways that should help. And for algae if you don't want to use chemicals. you should get a few Otocinclus Catfish. Can be found in just about any pet store.

Overall if you still want to know more. just google Red Tail Shark and see what you get. What all do i need for a Red Tail Shark?
    Red Tail Sharks are great.

A rocky and planted set up would be best suited for a Red Tail Shark.

They can grow quite big in scale with the other fish that you may have in your tank. I had mine in a 3ft tank and it grew to about 10cm.

Be aware that they do have multiple personalities. One day they are the most placid fish and the next they will chase and nip at tank mates. They are mostly on the placid side though.

They prefer acid/neutral water with a temperature anywhere between 23 to 27 degrees C.

(Hint) I tend to leave my water temp at 26 degrees C and the water neutral as it tends to be a happy medium for most fish.

Make sure you buy a Ph test kit. It is vital to regularly test and change the water to the conditions that are best suited to the fish you buy. Eg. Setting water to neutral.

If you are only just starting out and have just put water in the tank make sure you have cycled the tank. Meaning that you have the water, filter and heater runnnig for around a week first before placing any fish in the tank. This builds up the bacteria cycle which makes the tank livable for fish. If this is not done your fish will surely die.

    I hope this information helps.

    Good luck.

What's the right rodent for me?

All my life I've wanted a small pet of my own, and I've finally decided to get one! I'm a senior in high school and the pet would be kept in my room. I've been doing heavy research for a few days but I'm still unsure. I'll sum up what I've learned and maybe you guys can help me out.

I considered a fish but it would really be more of a decoration than a pet. Reptiles and amphibians are just out of the question.

First off, I know I do not want a guinea pig or anything larger. They are more expensive, would take up too much room, require more food and bedding, and would live too long. No exotics for the same reasons.

I would love a female mouse but I'm afraid it would be too smelly. I like that they are the cheapest of all. My parents wouldn't put up with a smelly pet, even if it was in my room and even though we have two smelly dogs. I've heard they don't smell if you clean their cage every 2-3 days, but this sounds expensive.

Hamsters - They're very mellow and cute, which I like. Apparently they aren't as smelly as mice but have messier cages. But I've also heard they can be potty trained. I hear they tend to be biters. People complain about them being nocturnal, but can't you change this by lighting the cage at night and keeping it dark during the day for a few weeks?

Gerbils sound great because you don't have to clean their cage as often, they don't bite as much, and apparently they are the least smelly of all. But they are more active, and I would prefer a cuddly pet. I don't like how social they are, though; I would prefer to have ONE pet, not two. Is it okay to keep just one gerbil?

I have heard nothing but good things about rats. However, they do need more space than mice, gerbils, or hamsters, so that is a big downside for me. I haven't done much research on them because I don't like their bald tails, but after I post this question I will be doing some research.

On a final note, I absolutely, hands down, do NOT want a male rodent with giant testicles. I would definitely prefer a female rodent, but it seems pet stores prefer males. I would be concerned about buying a rodent that is pregnant, though.What%26039;s the right rodent for me?
Hello! I am also about to be a senior in high school this year. For the longest time I wanted a pet that I could take care of on my own and love. We already have two dogs, so another dog wasn't an option for me.

Growing up I've gone through so many pets: Hamsters, gerbils, mice, fish, birds and one ferret. I've found that hamsters, gerbils and mice are fun to have for a little while, but they get old real fast. They sleep most of the day and when they are awake I haven't really found that they have much personality. They don't really like to be held or cuddled with. In some cases, people get lucky where they end up with a very mellow hamster, mouse or gerbil who loves to be stroked and will just relax in your hand. But all the ones I've owned were never exactly man's best friend.

You're right about fish being more of a decoration. My last fish just died last week, as a matter of fact. And to be perfectly honest (and I know it sounds horrible) but we were just waiting for him to finally die. He began to take up space and no one was really interested in him after about two years.

Now, after weeks of visiting pet stores and doing research I found that the right pet for me was a rat. It's been about a month now since I bought two rats and I couldn't be happier with them. I know what you're saying about their tails. My boyfriend (and co-owner of our rats) hated their tails at first, but now he's over it because their personality by far makes up for any down side to them. They are extremely friendly and love to be scratched on the head. When I let them out for exercise they'll crawl up my shirt and sit on my shoulder sometimes too.

I have a small room but their cage fits in nicely. It's roughly three feet long and one foot seven inches tall. And I've seen them live in smaller cages than that. I clean their cage about once a month. The oder isn't bad at all untill about the week before you clean it.

Things you should know about rats though:

    1. You definately shouldn't have just one rat. Over time they could grow lonely and even depressed. Though rats tend to absolutely adore their owners, no amount of attention from a human could replace the companionship of another rat.

    2. I've read that rats can live from 1 to 3 three years. So it would be a commitment. Especially if you're planning on going to college directly after high school. It would be unfair to the animal to give it away after only a year of owning it.

Those were my only two issues before buying my rats, and I absolutely love them. They are so sweet and watching them run around my room wrestling with eachother is the funniest thing in the world.

    I hope this helped :]

I need help with my first car?

I'm 20yrs. old and in college. I am saving my money to buy my first car, but I don't know what kind to get. I'm also in the National Guard so I need my car for more then school. I wanted a 2008 Chevy Cobalt because of On*Star but since this is my first car should I go with something cheaper. I saw some 2006 cars for about $4,000 or should I spend $10,000 for a newer car. I also plan on working on my car (i.e changing the trim and film on the tail lights, no more then $750 worth of modifications). So my question is, what kind of car should I get for my first car? How many years should I keep it? What kind of car should I get? Any recommendations? Once I graduate I plan on going on Active Duty in the Army as an Officer, but that won't be for another 5 or 6 years until I'm done PA school.I need help with my first car?
It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carquotes.sinfree.netI need help with my first car?

My bearded Dragon is sick PLEASE HELP!!!?

OK, first, he is about 4.5 inches long (without tail) and is in a 55 gallon tank. Untill today, i fed him brocolli, squash, zucchini and gut loaded crickets. The lighting was two 75 watt zilla lights (not sure if they were UVB). His basking area was around 95 degreese and the rest was around 80.... (It is winter and my whole house is cold... not sure how to get it higher atm) The substrate i used was wallnut shell. About a week after i got him he was twitching a bit and was told to give him more sunlight and feed him more greens.Everything had been fine untill some time later ( a week ago or so) and he started getting slugish and not eating... he then began to drag himself around with his front AND back legs. I waited 2-3 days hoping it was just a small problem that would fix itself. I deeply regret waiting... and today changed his substrate, lighting, diet, and temperatures to as follows.

Substrate - Newspaper untill he is 6%26quot; then will move to alfalfa pellets

Lighting - added a 24%26quot; UVB zilla 8.0 and a zilla red infrared night bulb

Diet - learned i had been giving him a Ca:P of about 1:3... which is HORRIBLE and should be 2:1( or so i read) I now feed him collard greens as well which are around 4.5:1 Ca:p ratio (please give me more options to help) and the lighting bumped up his tems all around about 5 Degrees. If any more information is needed Please ask for it.

Thanks for reading my question and please post any information i might find helpfull! My bearded Dragon is sick PLEASE HELP!!!?
It doesn't sound like brumation to me at all, and by the size of your Beardie he is probably too young for that anyway.

It sounds like Metabolic Bone Disease to me. Zilla lights are marketed as UVB, but are so low that they don't do much of anything. So neither your old bulb nor your new bulb are going to help. Now that he has MBD, you need more than a run of the mill 10.0 fluorescent to reverse it. I recommend the Megaray line of lights, which you can get here: http://www.reptileuv.com/ or the T-Rex line of lights, which you can get at some petstores and places like bigappleherp.com or petmountain.com. Both of those are Mercury Vapor Bulbs, and put out about 4.5 times the microwatts of UVB you can get with a 10.0 UVB light. They need to be replaced annually, and should be at least a foot away from your Bearded Dragon.

Next, you should probably get some liquid calcium. Your vet may give this to you, if not you can order some from here. (You'll want the calcium Glubionate): http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.co

Now it is possible that he is also impacted as well as having MBD, from your substrate. If he hasn't pooped in a week or more, assume this is also the case. To treat impactions, while waiting for the vet visit, give him warm baths and gently massage his right lower belly. This will help him pass anything stuck in his digestive system. Walnut shells are sharp and he could have ingested one of them. If he did it could have become stuck in his digestive system. Take him to a qualified vet ASAP.My bearded Dragon is sick PLEASE HELP!!!?
well first of all i think he has vitamin d definicy which is caused from lack of sun (uvb) you should get at least a 10.0 desert uvb bulb and dust all his food everyday with a good calcium vitamin supplement. more than likely you may want to take him to the vet. here are a few websites that may help

Brumation doesn't happen until they are at least a year old. I think you just need to dust ALL his food with calcium powder..babies need more calcium than you think. My daughter and I have a 4 year old bearded dragon who had a calcium deficiency when we adopted him and he was dragging his legs around (I took him to the vet thinking they were broken) and then he started having seizures (terrifying). I'm glad to see that you are going to set up an appointment for him, just make sure the vet you call specializes in exotics. I took mine to another vet once (our regular vet was on maternity leave) who didn't specialize in exotics and she ended up making him worse!!! They will tell you anything they want..they have no clue what to do with an exotic pet. Good Luck!!My bearded Dragon is sick PLEASE HELP!!!?
I dont think your lighting is very good, ive heard bad things about those brands. I would use either the reptisun 10.0 or a mercury vapor bulb (for reptiles) like the Mega Ray. Your basking temperature should be around 100-110 degrees, and for substrate you should probably use tiles or paper towels. I think it definitely does have something to do with calcium deficiency. Either way best of luck and hope he gets well

  • Why is my cat's hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?

My cat was an indoor cat but last year when we moved, she became an outdoor cat (because my mom doesn't like pet hair in the house). Over the past year I have seen a change in her coat. She is seal point colored (like a Siamese). Her face, ears, tail, and paws used to be really black but they've changed to a much lighter brown and her brown back has turned almost whitish brown. We live where it is very warm almost year-round. The house was always air conditioned. So my friend's and my theory is that her coat is adjusting to the warm weather and maybe it'll change back as the cold weather arrives. Others think she's getting old. I don't know for sure how old she is. We got her when she was already about two so she's about 7-8 or so now. But cats can live to be 15-20 years if I'm not mistaken. Does anyone else have any experience or knowledge on the subject? Why is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?
Cats coats do change with the seasons, especially outdoor cats. As long as her skin is not red or itchy and her ears look clean, she is probably fine. If there is evidence of itchy, irritated red skin, it could be allergies. However, it does just sound like that she is adjusting to the new atmosphere. As to the question about age, cats can live to be PRETTY old =] We have cats at my clinic that are 18 and 19 years old, so I doubt that its her age making her fur change. Why is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?
she's a SIAMESE!!! or siamese-type- if she is seal point. the color change is normal- seal point usually darken with age, some points lighten. she might not be a seal point at all- but a different point. SHE%26quot;S NOT DYING!!! that is ridiculous that someone would say such nonsense! Why is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?
probably the climate change. warmer weather will cause ur cats fur to change to a lighter color for the cat's comfort. Why is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?
I wish I knew but my cats are about the same age and haven't change colors. It might be the reason that she is an outdoor cat. The sun light might make her fur lighter. Why is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?
no idea sorry. i do not know anything really about catsWhy is my cat%26039;s hair changing colors? (Is she aging or molting for the weather changes?)?

    Road Rage in the UK?

Why is it that if you're slow pulling away at the lights you get some idiot beeping their horn. I'm sure if I was a police woman in a cop car they wouldn't. when I say slow at pulling away I mean like maybe 5 seconds from it changing to green. just no need for that at all .Take last week for instance, I lit my cigarette and was momentarily distracted, and the light must have changed to green and the man behind me was having a screaming fit from what i could see in my rear view . Which then made me annoyed. so i promptly give the fella the V sign and this made him chase me for about 3 miles, Tail gating and beeping and screaming obscenities. I ask you, how long did I take out of his precious time, maybe 5 seconds? If it was me I would have waited patiently for up to at least 20 seconds.I also think he had lost his mind and if he had got hold of me he would have killed me.So how many drivers out there seem to be more impatient than they would ordinarally, when they are behind the wheel?Road Rage in the UK?
god a hate people like that and have you noticed that its always men that act like that. what i usually do when some one blows the horn at me to hurry up is i slow my car down to a crawling speed when i know he cant over take me, if he starts tail gateing then just keep putting your foot on the brake, very lightly so your car dosent slow down to much cause he may go into you. that way he will see the brake lights coming on and he will have no choice to slow down himself . i know its a bit childish but people like this annoy me.Road Rage in the UK?
Its everywhere. Here in Texas and Tennessee it is the worst.Real rednecks.

How Many Logical Problems Exist in TSA's Approach?

The comments from the White House seem to reveal serious logical problems in the USA's approach to anti-terrorism.

There appears to be two lines of defense offerred by the Administration but they are completely inconsistent with each other -- they can't possibly both be true.

First they tells us that the report of the Nigerian bomber just got lost in the shuffle. It wasn't properly communicated. If the father's statement to the CIA in Nigeria %26quot;My son has been radicalized%26quot; had been put together with intelligence reports coming out of Yemen that %26quot;A Nigerian man is being prepared for an attack on USA%26quot;, then the man would have been stopped in Amsterdam and not allowed to board.

The other line of defense (100% opposite of the first one) is that %26quot;We did have a discussion about this matter between the various intelligence and anti-terrorism agencies at the anti-terrorism center in Washington, and after very careful deliberation it was decided that the father's statement to the CIA was really just a %26quot;missing person%26quot; report, so it was inadequate to justify stopping the man in Amsterdam, so we did nothing.

Inadequate here means there was no indication that a crime had been committed. There was no indication of wrongdoing by the suspect. Everything he was doing was perfectly legal, so we had no reasonable suspicion.

This is a major logical fallacy. Most terrorists do not commit crimes prior to their act of terrorism. If the USA agencies are looking for crimes or wrongdoing to support a reasonable suspicion they will never catch a terrorist. Apparently the only thing we are able to do is put out APB's on known criminals. Anybody that's not a known criminal, and that has not done anything illegal is outside our scope of vision or consideration. The %26quot;no wrongdoing people%26quot; are invisible to us. Al Qaida always makes sure that it's suicide bombers are %26quot;no wrongdoing people%26quot; right up till the moment of detonation. Operations are cancelled if a martyr is even pulled over for a traffic stop, a broken tail-light, or a case of jaywalking. So, Al Qaida is sending one kind of person, and we are looking for another. They are sending perfectly clean people and we are looking for dirty people. That is our logical error.

The White House can't keep its excuses straight. I seriously doubt there was any management supervision in the anti-terrorism coordination center at the time the critical report came in from the father's CIA conversation in November 2009. Congress should find out who the senior manager was and precisely how much experience that person has in intelligence/anti-terrorism. Don't let the agency escape with the %26quot;group opinion%26quot; excuse -- %26quot;we don't know who decided this, it was some sort of group decision, so nobody is accountable for it%26quot;.

It would be right for the Congress to investigate this incident for about 6 months and resolve all the logical errors and contradictions. It would be right for 100 people to be fired, sprinkled through 20 or so agencies. 100 rolling heads make what's called feedback to the professionals in this field -- %26quot;Do better work!%26quot; It would be right to change the triggering criteria and the active responses in the field. If they don't know what to do -- somebody has to tell them what to do -- very specifically -- and test them to make sure they understand -- like we do in the Navy to make sure our people know how a ship's weapons systems work.

Hey look man, Comrade Napolitano has already fixed the problem OK? The solution is to bar passengers from using the head in the last hour of the flight. Terrorists have all agreed to not blow up planes until the last hour. So passengers getting the urge at the wrong time will sit in their own filth for safety. Makes sense, right? How Many Logical Problems Exist in TSA%26039;s Approach?
%26quot;This is a major logical fallacy. Most terrorists do not commit crimes prior to their act of terrorism.%26quot; - True, but the logical fallacy is yours. Building a bomb is a crime.

The two stories also do not conflict. The CIA did not take the information seriously. It is likely that all of these reports get forwarded on, however so would the CIAs analysis of the report. So then based on that analysis the anti-terriorism center did not see a threat from this person that the CIA decided was just a missing person.

By the way, the TSA does not oversee any of that. Blaming those %26quot;contradictions%26quot; as you see them on the TSA makes about as much sense as blaming the FDA.

To me, I would say not much at all; the problem is that as the person is Nigerian, you generally can't trust them.

Going forward, what could be done is:

    1. Mandating that every passenger on a plane coming into the USA (except from Canada; American officials check IDs there) have passport information transmitted via US-VISIT no later than 30 minutes after scheduled departure; otherwise, the plane will not be allowed entry into American airspace. Information that would be transmitted would be things such as visa numbers, passport numbers, and all other documents.

    2. If passengers have not been thoroughly checked, the plane would have to land at Logan International Airport in Boston, MA, JFK Airport in New York City, Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, NJ, or Miami International Airport first and have everyone re-screened.

    3. Work with allies to establish a database to check passport information between countries.

  • What causes Carburetor motorcycle engine to backfire on start-up?

Bike: 2007 Hyosung GT650R (Stock, still original parts except normal service replacements oil and filter and adjustments)

My bike has backfired on me three times now since its last service in Sept. twice in october 2 weeks apart and just last week. I have not taken it back to the mechanic yet as it檚 not happening all the time, and I'd like to give some direction on the problem.

The engine is a 90 degree V-twin, with Carburetors. The mechanic adjusted the fuel mixture since he said the bike was running lean. Don't know if that's relevant or not. Prior to the last service, the bike never backfired. each time, it occurred during stat-up. either just as i press the starter button, or it cranked once and then backfired.

I looked on the internet, and other people have had similar comments, but they say it's normal or not a big deal. Needless to say, when my bike goes bang like a gun, it concerns me greatly. Other people didn't mention having this happen, but the tail light bulb was broken twice from the shock.

The weather was not cold (not below 30 F) but wasn檛 really warm either (not above 50 F). Always start the bike with at least 戮 choke, and in neutral.

So basically, any idea what the cause could be, and recommend how to fix it (beside sell it)?

Also, don檛 know if this is related or not. There is a hose between the rear shock and kickstand that I noticed has a liquid dripping slowly out during idling. Revving does not change the rate of drip. But it smells like gasoline. Don檛 know where the hose originates yet. But if this helps of you know what this hose it, please let me know.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. What causes Carburetor motorcycle engine to backfire on start-up?
Mine will backfire if I give it too much choke. Try a little less choke, increasing as you start if needed.

    Could be the timing, also.

The hose dripping liquid that smells like gas most likely is an overflow from the carburetor. Probably a float needle not seating properly. Very well could have happened if the mechanic was in the float bowl of the carb. Would also contribute to an over rich condition, flooding carb, possibly the cause of your backfire. What causes Carburetor motorcycle engine to backfire on start-up?
backfire usually indicate fuel mixture being incorrect. you stated the bike shop adjusted the carbs then = backfire. have them readjust the carbs since you paid for good service not a backfire services..hehehe.

those hoses you see are overflow for carbs. any unused fuel get dump out using those hoses. What causes Carburetor motorcycle engine to backfire on start-up?
Too much advance on timing and excessively rich fuel mixture. Or too tightly adjusted exhaust valve (most likely not on a new bike), causes excess intake reversion and back fires. Rev it quickly and see if you get a black cloud (rich).

How many logical problems exist in TSA's work? That is my question which I seek to obtain knowledge about, and wish could be answered -- would you answer my question?Where Could Improvements be Made in Our Air Travel Security?
TSA needs to spend more time on profiling, less time on searching and probing, and even less time trying to harass journalists for revealing their stupidity.Where Could Improvements be Made in Our Air Travel Security?
Is that the same question 4 times? lol

I don't know the answer to your question...

%26quot;Most terrorists do not commit crimes prior to their act of terrorism%26quot;: sure, but until they commit their act of terrorism, there is no reason to ban them from boarding aeroplanes. I guess they should know better who has contact with Al Qaeda...

let's hope we will have less terrorist attacks in the new decade!

    Happy New Year :)

Excellent display of %26quot;don't say this to a cop%26quot; examples. I can't top all that, but you might get a kick out of this little skit me and my wife have done at a variety of senior functions:

    The Speeding Ticket

Scene begins with man and woman in front seat of a car as they are just stopped by a cop. The man is driving and he is speaking to his wife before the cop gets to the car:

HIM: Now, Honey I need you to keep quiet and just let me do the talking. JUST DON”T SAY ANYTHING, OK? (Starts to quickly fasten his seatbelt, but is unable to)

HER: OK. But you know I told you to slow down… just before you got stopped. Now didn’t I?…Didn’t I tell you that you were going too fast? Huh? Huh?, Didn’t I?

HIM: Sshhh! Be quiet here he comes.

COP: You were going a little fast, weren’t you, sir?

HIM: Why, no, officer, I don’t think I was speeding. I even had my cruise control on.

COP: Well, sir, I clocked you at 60 miles per hour… This is a 45 Miles per hour zone.

HER: See, John, I told you… I told you to slow down. I told you you were going to get caught. Officer I told him to slow down….

HIM: Gladys, please be quiet. Let me handle this. Officer, my cruise was set for a 45 MPH zone. I KNOW it was.

HER: Now John, you know that the cruise has been broken for 6 months… It tore up on our way back from my mother’s place. Officer, I’ve been trying to get him to fix the cruise, but he just won’t listen.

COP: May I see your license, sir?

HIM: Oh, sure! (starts looking for his license) Oops! I’m sorry officer I seem to have left them at home. I don’t have them with me.

HER: Oh John! You know that your license went dead two months ago on your birthday.! I’ve been telling you to,,, Officer He knows I’ve been telling him to renew his license, (Punch John) Haven’t I, John? Tell him … tell him I’ve been trying to get you to go…

HIM: Gladys, please… please quit talking. Honestly, Officer I really meant to renew them… I’ve just been so busy lately.

COP: I notice your seatbelt is not fastened. You KNOW you’re supposed to keep it fastened when driving, don’t you?

HIM: Yes, sir I do. And I assure you, sir, I just now unfastened it when you stopped me… Isn’t that right, Gladys?

HER: No, John, that’s NOT right, John. You know you NEVER fasten that seatbelt. You couldn’t fasten it just now because the buckle is caught between the seats. You’re just going to kill yourself, one of these day, John. Officer, I try to tell him, but he just won’t listen. See, John, I told you that you were going to get in trouble, some day, but would you listen? Nooooo! You never listen… He never listens.

COP: Now let’s see… speeding, no operator’s license, no seatbelt…

HER: I hope you’ve learned your lesson, John. If you’d a listened to me, We could have left that party 2 hours ago and you wouldn’t have had all that beer and wine to drink, and wouldn’t have run off the road back there, and wouldn’t have been speeding, and got caught.

COP: Beer and wine? Sir, will you please step out of the car?

1988 Ford Bronco Hazard and taillights problems?

Don't know how lucky I'll get here, but here it goes. I have a 1988 Ford Bronco Full Size 5.0 liter 302 engine. I recently had to change out a broken ignition actuator in my steering column. That is now fixed. After fixing however I noticed my turn signals began to stop working. The problem began with only my rear drivers side signal coming on and my passenger front side signal coming on, both would flash. Eventually they did not flash on there own I had to move the switch up and down to make the signal flash. Just recently my tail lights went out. They do not come on when I brake, but they do come on when I turn my headlamps on. And when I use the turn signal that works only on the rear. My hazards work but only on the front of the truck, nothing on the back. I have replaced the turn signal and hazard flashers fuse, got a little improvement but still no brake lights or rear hazard lights. And the turn signals still do not work like they should. And yes I have replaced the brake light fuse just for giggles to see if anything would happen. It didn't. Any help on this would be most appreciated. Thanks!1988 Ford Bronco Hazard and taillights problems?

Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?

I took my car, a 2004 Volkswagen beetle to the mechanic to change an engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT switch). They recommended I change the temperature gasket also since the car will already be taken apart (which was $100 extra), so I did.

They said I would need a serpentine belt soon also. So, I changed that. They also changed my oil and gave me a wheel alignment.

I took my car on a road trip about an hour away. Soon as we made it there, my AC stopped working and the car started over heating. So we parked it. We came outside an couple hours later, lifted the hood, and noticed there was no coolant in it at all. We figured that was the problem, put some some coolant in there and proceeded to go home.

On the interstate the hot light came on and my car started to have white smoke coming from the hood of the car. Not ever the tail pipe! We pulled over (almost got lifted by 18 wheelers) and put some more coolant and it was leaking out and kinda looked like there was coolant sprayed all over under the hood. We made it to the next exit. And right before we parked, a red oil light came on.

I towed it to the mechanic and they are saying it's my fault. And the coolant bypass housing has a hole in it and it had calcium in it. and now I need a new head gasket and maybe an engine.

I think its an awful coincidence my car never ever overheated and the day after I get it from them, it has all of these problems.

WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED OR THEY DID, THAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN TO MY CAR???

I towed it away from the shop because when I went outside I noticed the battery was dead!!! The man was saying it would probaby over heat because he thought I was gonna drive it home. He didnt want to give me my part back. He lied to my dad about a core charge and tried to lie to me, but the other person butted in and said there is no core charge. So that was fishy.

Anyway, after I towed it home, i noticed it still didn't have any coolant in it. Is that normal for them to do that. And also, they killed my battery the first time I picked up. (Maybe because they left the doors and trunk wide open during the three trips it took them to fix my tail light.) So that makes it twice that they killed my battery which is still dead! Which shows how negligent they are....

Do you think all of this is their fault? And can you give me some theories on what happened so I can confront the owner?Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
If you already had problems with them, you're a retard for bringing the car back to them.

Otherwise, they CANNOT cause a calcium deposit in your car.

    Here is what happened.

You have a lot of problem with your car. You fixed some, which caused certain things to run more efficiently. By running more efficiently, it has caused other smaller problems, to become larger.

And now you have those to fix as well.

Also, let's consider something. You're engine temperature sensor needed replacement.

MAYBE the reason it never overheated before, was because your sensor was bad, and not giving you the proper readout. It was in fact overheating, but you just didn't know. Ever consider that?Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
Boohoo. Looks like people still think I had the best answer.

The %26quot;New Beatles%26quot; have a lot of problems.

Because you said that the A/C went out, I want you to look at you serpentine belt. Is it loose? If the belt broke on your trip or is too loose, then that could have caused all your problems.

I believe your head gasket blew. That means that coolant can get into your engine and into your oil. This makes your oil worthless and your engine would then seize. If you got lucky, then the head gasket blew in a way that the coolant just leaves the engine but doesn't get into the oil. Then you just need a new head gasket. The first way you need a new engine, the second way you have the head gasket replace.Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
The first clue is the a/c stopped working...usually a sign of an overheated car..or electrical problem that may have affected the cooling fans...either way should have stopped and checked it out...once the car started to overheat the pressure in the radiator probably exceeded 20PSI...more than enough to rupture a wekk part or hose...continuing to drive only made it worse...You never drive a car with an overheating problem...REGARDLESS...So what happened first is hard to say...who has more blame...You!! for continuing to drive it...What part would they not give you back??...as far as the rest goes you are probably right leaving the hood and trunl open probably drained the battery..Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
I think they caused this. with all the extra work they recommended and charged you for then never fixed any problem. The calcium story sounds very fishy and a lie.It is very common for mechanic shops to lie to people who they know, dont know about cars. They did not check for leaks after they did the work. or they forgot to refill it with water. You will need to take it to some else that can tell you why it happened. dont tell them it was another shop, or they may not want to make trouble. tell them an aquaintance did it and you think they messed it up. then get there answer ans estimate in writing. if you choose to sue them you will need this type of documentation. take it a vw dealer or vw specialist so the report will be accepted as reliable. you will prob have to pay for the inspection. But it is something you will have to do.Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
You cannot use anything but genuine VW coolant in this car. Read this again!! YOU CANNOT USE ANYTHING BUT VW COOLANT IN THIS CAR. Mixing it with another coolant will cause a chemical reaction that could look like calcium deposits. It WILL damage the head gasket and the radiator and heater core. To the best of my knowledge of these cars, there is no $100 temperature gasket. They burned you. I have a feeling that you did NOT go to a genuine VW dealer or even a genuine VW experienced technician. When you resolve this problem, you will probably need to have your operating computer re-programmed. VW operating computers must be told that something under the hood has changed. Sometimes an inexperienced mechanic will leave hoses disconnected or will not double check their work. Also, you SHOULDN'T be using any other oil in this car but Mobil One, or ELF oil, that meets SPECIFICATION 502/505. Read you manual 4 times!!!!! You are also overdue for a brake fluid (VW only fluid) change.Mechanic in Wrong? Car Over heated.?
it sounds like too much pressure built up and it blew the head gasket. now you can see why i work on my own car. i don,t trust these people that calls themselfs mechanics. a lot of them are wannabees.

I think it's good for the contest. And maybe it will help some folks to really think through the challenges and responsibilities of pet ownership. Peace. Is this poem good enough to submit to poetry contest? its called %26quot;sassy%26039;s story%26quot;?

Dashboard lights in my car won't turn on when my headlights are on?

I have a 92 Nissan Maxima, and a while ago my dashboard lights wouldn't come on when I turned on the headlights, the same goes for my gauge lights, but the dashboard lights up when I step on the brakes. I know its a short somewhere, but all of my fuses are working, except for my tail light fuse which keeps blowing out when I drive with the headlights on (i didn't know about the tail lights, and I got pulled over because of it). I replaced the fuse when needed but it doesn't help my other situation. Can anyone tell me what could be causing the problem. I know its a short, and pressing the dimmer switch doesn't change anything. I'd greatly appreachiate it if someone knows what it is that is causing my problem, and how to fix it. Thanks again.Dashboard lights in my car won%26039;t turn on when my headlights are on?
get to know an auto eletrician really well. this is a problem that will cause baldness and greying of the hair.

or get a manual for this car and begin the trek yourself.
